The Easter Bunny is putting on a show to celebrate all things “rabbit” in this wild puppetry extravaganza presented by Q Artistry. “Bunny Spectacular” is an original musical featuring stories, folktales, and songs presented by an entire cast of bunnies.
Presented by the producers of “Cabaret Poe” and “Perry Haughter and the Magical Musical”, “Bunny Spectacular” opens April 1, 2011 and will include The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Br’er Rabbit, The Legend of the Jade Rabbit, and Little Bunny Foo Foo.
Designed for children and their families, “Bunny Spectacular” marks what Q Artistry hopes will be the first of many puppet offerings. The costume team behind Perry Haughter and the Magical Musical are creating nearly 30 bunny puppets for the show. “We’re pretty excited about this show,” artistic director Ben Asaykwee says. “It’s got a little something for everyone from 3 to 103.”
