Press Release: TKO Graphix Merger

November 7, 2010 by Naptown Buzz

Plainfield, IN, November 5, 2010 — TKO Graphix President, Tom Taulman II, announced this week the merging of Plainfield Sign and Elite Sign Company, Inc. with TKO Graphix. The two central Indiana firms will operate under the newly-formed TKO Graphix subdivision, Plainfield Sign.

The merger allows TKO Graphix to offer additional services, such as architectural, illuminated, and dimensional signs to its national market. TKO believes the strategy will bring new contracts to central Indiana and expand the opportunities and capabilities of all three organizations. Taulman said, “We’ve all worked together for 25 years, and with the current economic realities, it just makes since to house all of us in TKO’s 50,000 square-foot facility.”

Plainfield Sign, founded in 1969, maintains up to seven employees with annual revenues averaging $400,000. President Lee Faulkner brings 35 years of award-winning multimedia and carved signs experience to TKO Graphix. Faulkner will continue to serve as manager of Plainfield Sign.

Elite Sign Company, Inc., owned and operated by Ron Long for 29 years, staffs six employees with annual revenues over $500,000. While the company will operate within TKO Graphix’s Plainfield Sign subdivision, Elite will also continue as a separate company to service their existing customers. Long will supervise electrical sign installation for Plainfield Sign / TKO Graphix.

TKO Graphix offers a full-range of graphic services — including graphic design, digital and screen-printing, graphic installation and removal. In 2000, TKO was named a 3M Scotchprint® Graphics Authorized Manufacturer. Its installers became members of the United Application Standards Group and 3M Certified Installers in 2001. In 2004, TKO moved into its custom designed 50,000 square-foot facilities in Plainfield, Indiana.
